Lavender Rosemary – Itchy & Problem Scalp

The secret ingredient which helps calm an itchy, problem scalp, and reduce hair loss and possibly reverse it, is onions! Onion skin infusion and onion juice – don’t worry! It doesn’t smell at all like onions. Lavender & tea tree essential oils provide a mild herbal scent while providing scalp-soothing benefits. Aloe vera juice & organic coconut milk nourish the scalp and hair, reducing flaking & itching, and contributing to stronger, healthier hair.

Onion Skin Infusion

Onion skin infusion is extremely anti-inflammatory, calming itchy, angry scalps. It also gives smooth, soft hair, and can even help fight depression!

Onion Juice

Onion juice has a high concentration of sulphur which helps to drastically reduce hair loss & promote strength. It might even be able to reverse hair loss, encouraging new growth!

Lavender & Tea Tree Essential Oils

Lavender & Tea Tree essential oils help kill bacteria that cause dry, itchy, flaky scalp, while calming inflammation & smoothing skin.

Aloe vera contains something called proteolytic enzymes which repairs dead skin cells on the scalp. It also acts as a great conditioner and leaves your hair all smooth and shiny. It promotes hair growth, prevents itching on the scalp, reduces dandruff and conditions your hair.

What Does “Saponified” Mean?

Saponification is the chemical reaction used in the soap making process. When the oils and fats are combined with lye (a strong alkali) they are called saponified. At the end of the process the lye is all gone, and you are left with just soap. To learn more about this, have a look at my blog post on the subject.

About “Filler” Oils

Cheaper oils are often used as a “filler” but I don’t use them because they don’t add much nutrient value to the soap.

I don’t use palm oil in any of my products, since its production is harmful to the environment, destroying critical habitat for many endangered species, as well as being linked with the eviction of forest-dwelling peoples. Find out more here.

I only use high quality oils and butters that are filled with beneficial nutrients for the skin. Learn more about this on my blog.
